The CT Association for Healthcare at Home in partnership with Fazzi Associates is pleased to bring you this comprehensive OASIS Education and new COQS (Certified OASIS Quality Specialist) certification.

The COQS, introduced earlier this fall by Fazzi, is the home health industry’s newest and most valuable OASIS certification demonstrating a strong knowledge of OASIS and the ability to accurately interpret assessment data and complete the CMS OASIS Item Set in a compliant fashion.

The COQS is a three-year certification and those earning this designation are entitled to several complimentary benefits to help them stay up-to-date with new guidance and best practices during the three-year period.  For those already certified in COS-C, you may sit for the recertification exam (80 questions vs 100).

About Recertification:

Candidates with proof of active OASIS certification in good standing from other certification programs are welcome to sit for the 80-question COQS recertification exam following the two-day course at the discounted recertification price. The recertification exam is shorter (80 questions) than the initial certification exam (100 questions), because candidates have demonstrated general competency with OASIS by passing the initial certification exam (COQS or other certifications).  The recertification exam will incorporate newer guidance to show the test taker has kept up to date with the OASIS guidance as well as questions related to long-standing guidance in order to demonstrate they have not ‘lost’ any of their old knowledge base.
