The “new clinician” series incorporates federal and state regulations, reimbursement, person-centered care planning, chronic care management and an all-day overview of OASIS C-2. The three sessions are designed for clinicians (both nurses and therapists) who have been in home health care for at least three months. It is highly recommended that all programs be taken together for the best learning experience. ***However, the OASIS class may be taken separately by any RN or therapist (both new and seasoned) as it is an overview of OASIS C-2. ***

Solving the Puzzle: Documentation & Reimbursement – 3/13/18

This session will clarify payers, eligibility and coverage for services, reimbursement, and federal and state regulations that impact care provision. Since documentation and healthcare costs are under state and national scrutiny, it is crucial that home health providers understand their role in providing quality care that’s cost-effective. Bring your tough questions regarding Face to Face Encounter, Therapy Reassessments and Medicare denial processes.

Person-Centered Home Health Care Management–3/20/18

Health care reform is requiring better care resulting in better health at a lesser cost (the Triple Aim). Learn how expert person-centered care coordination, case management and interdisciplinary communication in home health are the keys to achieving the Triple Aim. Nurses and therapists will collaborate in this all-day session to hone their case management skills using real case examples as well as documentation, reimbursement and regulatory information learned from session one.

Applying OASIS –3/27/18

The application of OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set) is one of the most complex and confusing challenges for both new and seasoned home health clinicians. This program reviews the expectations from CMS as to how to answer the many OASIS questions and offers case studies to get “hands-on” experience using the OASIS tool for assessments. The training content is all based on new OASIS C-2 items.
