This course will be a two-hour session covering ICD-10 Coding Updates and how it affects your agency! Coding can be a challenge for clinicians, supervisors, and coders! This session is designed to help anyone interested in learning more about home health coding updates. J’non Griffin, RN, MHA, HCS-D, HCS-H, HCS-C, HCS-O, COS-C, will discuss home health coding updates including:

  • Overview of PDGM, Face to face, and referral information
  • How to set up a successful query process
  • Why queries may lend you more revenue
  • Why a great coded plan of care is not enough
  • Recent changes in coding guidance

The session will be offered in a virtual environment that will make attending easy and convenient! The session will be recorded, and will be available for 30 days after the live event.

J’non Griffin is a 34 year veteran of home care as an RN. She received her Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration in 2005. She has experience as a field nurse, director and executive with home health and hospice agencies, both large and small. J’non is certified as a Homecare Coding Specialist-Diagnosis (HCS-D), Certified in OASIS competency, COS-C, Certified in Homecare Coding Specialist-Hospice (HCS-H), Home Care Specialist-Compliance (HCS-C) and is an AHIMA approved ICD-10-CM trainer/ambassador. J’non is an accredited ACHC and CHAP consultant. J’non is currently the Principal of the Coding and OASIS Department at SimiTree. J’non is also on the board of Home Care Association of Florida. She has also been a frequent contributor to the Decision Health Publication, The Diagnosis Coding Pro, and the Home Health Line. She has published several manuals and assisted with composition of several online modules for coding and OASIS instruction. She has presented several webinars and has been a nationally recognized speaker on a variety of subjects.
