In this webinar, Jody Erdfarb, partner at Wiggin and Dana LLP,  will describe the new HIPAA regulations regarding reproductive health care. These regulations became effective on June 25, 2024, but covered entities and business associates have until December 23rd to comply. Reproductive health care is broadly defined to encompass any information related to the “health of an individual in all matters relating to the reproductive system and to its functions and processes.” The breadth of this definition means that almost every type of health care provider will be affected. Learn about what the new regulations prohibit and what they require, including practical compliance tips. A model policy will be provided and explained as well.  Jody will also review current HIPAA enforcement initiatives and trends.
